Last year, perhaps the year before, I jumped in on a Kritterkins kickstarter from Bombshell Miniatures. I painted the frog for a friend a little over a year ago and it was so much fun. I needed a mini to paint for a secret mini exchange and decided to go with the fox. She was a delight to play with, especially after banging out army commissions for the last couple of months. I simplified a traditional kimono pattern after choosing a basic color from references.
I somewhat regret not digging up my DLSR for these pictures. I was at the deadline and really needed to send her out.
I highly recommend picking up a Kritterkins mini… they give a lot of space and freedom to be a bit more creative.
