A while back, at the same time as Mortarion, I got the pleasure to work on the extra fiddly diorama of Kor Phaeron and Erebus from the Horus Heresy Character Series. It’s extremely detailed for it’s size, and loads of fun to paint. The most challenging part are the claws. They’re fragile and almost weightless, but once the resin is glued, they stay put in their slots.
These are painted in acrylics, with a glaze of oil paints to brighten the red and deepen the black.
This picture was taken by a local photographer, Stephanie Bryant. She understands photography far better than I do and I’m sure I’ll be taking more minis over to her when I have the time.
