Work in Progress: Dragon

Tools

I wanted to post a work in progress piece to illustrate what goes into the preparation and finishing of a miniature. I will post a part or two a day.   This model was fairly simple but still time consuming. I use miniature files and a Bard Parker blade to clean up sprues and mold lines.  I use a Dremel to drill holes and insert metal pins on the heavier parts of the model and use two part epoxy and cyanoacrylate for gluing.  Two part epoxy putty is used to fill gaps and sculpt any parts that may be incomplete in the cast.  The epoxies are let to set at least 12 hours before handling.
